our popsicles. Kaylynn soon left hers
and headed over to watch the
peacocks. We enjoyed feeding the
fish and the deer the pellets that we
could buy for a dime, but our topic of
discussion always came back to
Cashmere.
All too soon the sun was dropping
behind the horizon, and Kaylynn was
asleep in my arms. We loaded into
our pickup and headed on our way
home. As we drove, Hannah
expressed the thought that was
foremost on our minds. “I can’t wait
until Brenda gets back and can tell us
more about that horse.”
