She expressed her concern, and I
assured her that I kept them outside
the fence. “But it is interesting,” I
continued. “He seemed to
immediately like us and is upset when
we leave. He sure didn’t have that
same opinion of those men.”
“Well,” Brenda said, “there might
be a reason. I can’t really explain it
on the phone, because I need to show
you something, but please be
careful.”
I promised I would, and then I
asked her a question. “Brenda, what
is the deal with this horse, anyway?
All he seems to want to do is run.”
“What do you mean?”
I told her about his running and
about the fight with Tor. I told how
he had tried to push Tor to the mares
