Kaylynn, Hannah checked to find that
Linny was asleep, and then she
decided to join us. I wondered if he
would react to her as he had to the
men. But when she stepped from the
pickup and started to walk in our
direction, Cashmere pricked up his
ears. He didn’t get upset, though he
seemed excited, snorting and
whinnying. Hannah backed up to
safety behind the pickup.
When Hannah moved away, he
became more excited, whinnying as if
he was calling to her.
“What is it with this horse?”
Hannah called.
“I don’t know,” I replied. “But
he’s not acting mean like he did with
the men. It’s more like he is calling
to you. I think he wants you to
