semester, too. But this semester
there was one girl. Though I knew
I hadn’t had a class with her, I was
sure I had seen her before.
Professor Hastings had us
introduce ourselves. As the girl
stood, every boy turned to stare
with rapt attention, and all seemed
smitten with her beauty. She had
big brown eyes, and her long
brown hair, tied with a red ribbon,
hung loosely down past her waist.
She was dressed in blue jeans and
a flower-covered blouse.
“My name is Bonnie,” she said.
“I am from Utah and majoring in
mathematics.”
