introduction and sat down,
Professor Hastings added, “Bonnie
is also our department’s student
secretary.”
Instantly, I remembered how I
knew her. I had visited with
Bonnie once about what hours
second-semester calculus was
offered so I could arrange my
schedule.
When we all finished
introducing ourselves, Professor
Hastings said, “I don’t plan to
assign seating, but make sure
you’re sitting where you want to be
next class period, since I will send
around a seating chart to help me
learn your names. Once you’ve
