               He suddenly stopped shaking his

       head and snorting, and looked past


       the mares toward Tor.  Cashmere

       seemed to be thinking.  Suddenly he


       busted his way past the mares and

       headed straight for Tor with the


       mares trailing after.  I felt some

       anxiety, wondering if Cashmere was


       going to attack again, even though I

       couldn’t think of any reason why he


       would.


               When he reached Tor, the old

       gelding trembled in front of him.


       Cashmere stopped and flipped his

       head up and down and whinnied.  It


       wasn’t an angry whinny, but more of

       a friendly, anxious invitation.  Tor


       raised his head, confused at this

       friendliness.
