determined to stay and finish the
fight.
Both horses squealed, rose, and
struck out. Tor’s hooves again
missed their mark, and once more
Cashmere knocked Tor to his knees.
Tor wasn’t anything if he wasn’t
persistent, and again and again he
struggled back up. But each time he
rose to fight, he put more distance
between himself and Cashmere. This
only worked to Cashmere’s
advantage, since Tor couldn’t reach
Cashmere, but Cashmere could still
strike Tor.
Finally, they
both rose one last
time, and when Tor
struck out,
