Rachel had to admit that the hot cinnamon
roll, topped with brown sugar frosting and
walnuts, along with a cold cup of milk, was
really good. If it weren’t for her anxious desire
to read the letters, she could have enjoyed it
more. Camilla settled in for a visit, as if she
didn’t have a care in the world.

      “That Jacob is a good young man. You
know he bought our farm?”

      Rachel nodded and Camilla continued.
“With Ed’s hospital stays, and his being in the
nursing home those last years, I had lots of bills
to pay, and I didn’t know what to do. I finally
knew I had to sell the farm, not knowing where
I’d live. That good young man bought my farm,
and he said I can stay here rent free for as long as
I want. Can you believe that? Of course, he
