had become friends since she had
moved there. I was so sure she
couldn’t possibly be talking to me
that she had to ask me a second
time before I responded. As I
timidly took her hand to escort her
to the dance floor, I quietly said, “I
don’t dance very well.”
She smiled her beautiful smile
and replied, “That doesn’t matter.
You’re nice, and I like you. I
would rather dance with you than
any other boy.”
