knew he couldn’t be tied since there
was no halter.
There was a closed gate in the
trailer behind him. It was opened by
a lever on it. I did not plan to be
inside when it opened, so I would
have to figure a way to pull the lever
from the outside. I went to my
pickup and found some more twine. I
was grateful that I always carried
some. I strung the twine through the
side of the trailer where I could easily
pull it. I then opened the back door
and went inside.
I still couldn’t see him well, but in
the shadows, I could tell he was a
massive horse. The sheer size of him
sent chills down my spine. He
whinnied and snorted. He could not
turn, but stomped, rocking the whole
