No one raised their hand. I
thought about my roommates. If
Sherry asked them, they might, but
I wasn’t going to ask them. That
would seem too weird.
“Well, then,” the teacher
continued, “that could make
preparation for competition much
harder. We’ll have the boys rotate
partners on each dance.”
Sherry leaned over and
whispered to me. “I’m not staying
in a dance class that’s mostly girls.
Let’s drop it at the end of the
hour.”
I nodded my agreement, but I
was still wondering what he meant
