              noon.


                      Bryce looked at me quizzically.


              “So, who stopped by so early in the

              morning?”


                      “It was Sherry,” I replied.


              “She wanted me to sign up for


              social dance with her.”


                      “You?  Mr. ‘I-don't-dance?’”


                      “Well, maybe it’s time I


              learned,” I said defensively.  “She

              said she’d coach me every step of


              the way.”


                      Bryce grinned.  “Why did she


              ask you when she could have had a


              macho man like me?”

                      “Maybe because it's an eight


              o’clock class, and you don’t get up


              until the crack of noon,” I replied.
