like an oversized water balloon. As he followed me around, waddling, I could hear sloshing in his stomach. When chores were done, I asked Dad if I could stay and play with Nosey. He shook his head. “No. Everyone has to get ready for school and work, and no one can stay with you.” “Can I take Nosey to play outside?” “The lamb needs to stay in the barn, at least until he knows this is home.” I reluctantly followed everyone to the house. I called for Tippy, and we played a game of tug-of- war with an old string. When I let go of the string, Tippy growled and jerked it around as if he had just killed some giant snake. When he got tired of that, he started chasing his tail around and around until he was dizzy. He sat down, panting. I snuck up behind him and carefully held his tail. When he saw it, he growled. With me holding it, he was able to grab it. He bit down hard, then yelped. I laughed. “You are such a dough-head!” I helped him catch his tail lots of times, but he never seemed to learn. As we played, Nosey came lumbering up, having escaped from the barn. Tippy bounced over to him. Nosey charged, but still being full of water, his charge was more like a fast waddle. However, he caught Tippy right in the chest and sent him rolling. Tippy laid there for a minute; then he came at Nosey
