     because there was a slightly brown leaf.  Then she said one

     flower was wilting, so she wanted another deduction for

     that.  She found enough wrong with it that she only paid


     me the 10 cents that I charged for an empty pot.  And the

     way it was going, she made me feel lucky that she didn’t

     charge me to take it off my hands.”

            “So, how can she be mad at that?”

            “Oh, that’s not what made her mad.  What made her

     mad was that when she gave the flowers to her mother,

     who was in the hospital for a minor surgery, her mother

     pretty much disinherited her.”

            “Why would she do that?”

            “Oh, Old Skin Flint’s mother figured her daughter

     was implying something when she found the little card


     inside them that said, ‘Rest In Peace’.”
