     anything.”

The father was quiet for some time, until Deanne

asked if he was still on the line. Finally, when he did

speak, his voice was quiet and tense. “Can I check on her

     home address?”

“I cannot tell you the address due to privacy,”

Deanne replied, “but if you tell me your address, I can tell

you if it is the same.”

The man told her his address, and Deanne verified

that it was also the home address of the young lady listed.

“You mean,” the man asked, “that I have been paying

for my daughter to live there for three years and she has not

taken a single class? What has she been doing?”

“I can’t tell you about what you’ve paid or what she

has been doing,” Deanne said. “All I can tell you is that

she has not taken any classes.”

“Well,” he said tersely, “I can tell you something! It

is definitely time for a little father-daughter talk!”
