Buster tried to turn the car around, and that’s when it died for good. It didn’t seem to have any power in the battery left at all. We realized we were probably a good eight miles from any inhabited road, and there wasn’t much daylight left. “What do I do?” Buster inquired of us. “I’ve got a brilliant idea,” Lenny growled. “Let’s push it up into the middle of the road, and if we are lucky, someone will come along and steal it.” “That wouldn’t be lucky at all,” Buster complained. “I don’t have any insurance on it.” “I didn’t say lucky for you,” Lenny muttered, as we started the long walk back to town. 28
