“I’m not sure,” Lenny replied. “Is it safe?” “Oh, aren’t you the funny one tonight,” Buster said. “I was being serious!” Lenny retorted. I leaned on the car and let off. It bounced like a yo-yo. “Are you sure it will handle all of us?” I asked. “It appears that the shocks are bad.” “I’m sure,” Buster answered confidently. “The guy at the car store told me it was in top notch shape.” Lenny leaned over to me and whispered. “And Buster was wearing a sign that said ‘sucker’, too.” “How much did you pay for it?” Rod asked. “I only paid $800. The salesman told me they had dropped the price from almost $3000. Isn’t that a steal?” “Well, yes, I would have to say someone got ripped off,” Lenny said dryly, holding his normal poker face.
