the book store or something. Could you do
that?”
Deanne assured him that she could, and
typed the girl’s name into the computer. But
the only listing was not what she expected.
“Sir, the only young lady I show under that
name is not a student, and the account is not
active.”
“Obviously I would know if she were
there,” the man laughed. “I mean, after all, I
have paid for her to go there for three years, and
she is in the middle of her junior year. Maybe
you should recheck it.”
Deanne felt a bit perplexed. “Will you
spell it for me?”
