grabbed a bucket and headed back to get more rotten
potatoes to show Butch he could indeed throw better.
Butch secured a bucket of his own on his way to load
up some of the stinking ammo.

The very best rotten potatoes to throw are the ones
that are solid enough on the outside that they don’t fall
apart as you fling them, but good and squishy on the
inside so they explode on impact. We had thousands to
choose from and chose only the best.

We hauled the buckets back to Butch’s mark.
They asked me if I wanted to join them, but I said,
“Heck, you already know I can hit him.” They agreed
with that, so I became the official score keeper.

Dingo had turned around and was just about to
come out when Buster threw the first strike. It smashed
