squirt gun, I was on my way.
      When I arrived at the senior citizen center, I

walked into the big hall where some ladies were
cleaning up the tables from the luncheon. Senior
citizens, like Grandma, could get a good meal there for
a quarter. If they brought a guest who wasn’t a senior,
it cost the guest a dollar. Grandma never ate there that I
knew of, since the senior citizens mostly gathered to
visit and Grandma tended to think that people already
knew more about each others’ business than they
needed to.

                                          However, Grandma
                                   did participate in the pen
                                   pal club. It was a way
                                   senior citizens could write
anonymously, sharing things with each other. They
didn’t have to tell who they were unless they wanted to.
Grandma had herself a pen pal by the name of Finch.
Grandma didn’t really know who Finch was, but they
