“But Coach,” Larry said, “you
already made us run a mile and a
half before practice.”
“Yeah,” Coach said, “and as
slow as all of you ran, except for
Johnson, I should make you run a
couple of miles.”
Everyone knew better than to
say any more, so we all headed to
the running area. However, after
we turned the corner, all but Allen
peeled off to go to their lockers.
Allen was the other wrestler at 185
pounds. He was a little bit slow
mentally, but a very kind person.
He only wrestled if the other team
had more than one 185-pound
wrestler, but he did quite well
when he did wrestle.
