     left.  I had to keep moving to stay
              awake.  I was allowed a fifteen-
              minute break every few hours, but
              I seldom took it for fear I’d fall
              asleep.
                      Around three o'clock, I finally
              finished up.  I hurried home and
              tried to get a little more sleep
              before getting up at five o’clock to
              run.
                      When my alarm went off, I
              could hardly drag myself out of
              bed, but as soon as I stepped
              outside into the freezing air, I was
              instantly wide awake.  As I ran, I
              could think of nothing but my
              dread of dance class.  Yet the
              thought of Ginny tempered it.
