waved her arms, and he finally let go.


       He then started eating the apple as

       calmly as if nothing had ever


       happened.

               “I’m sorry about that,” Brenda


       said.  “He can be as friendly as

       anything one minute, and then the


       next, I just don’t know.  I can’t tell if

       it’s meanness, or if he is playing.  But


       whatever it is, be careful with him.”

       After I pulled my arm back through


       the fence, Brenda wanted to see if


       anything was broken.  Much of my

       forearm was bruised and turning blue,


       but nothing was broken.

               Since we didn’t have any ice, I


       went and stuck my arm in the water

       trough for a while until the swelling


       and pulsing pain subsided.  Brenda

       thought I might want to knock off for
