first-time stage manager rushed in and

told me it was my scene. I could

hardly believe that the play was

moving along that fast, but I hurried on

and gave my one great oration of the

play. It was meant to be a serious

scene, but the audience, full of

reporters snapping pictures, roared with

laughter while the director looked on

with horror written all over his face. It

was then that I looked around me and

found the set was not correct for my

part - it was two scenes too early. A

cool draft of air from the auditorium

floated across the stage, and it was at

that instant that I also realized my fly

was open. Despite all of that, I

controlled myself and did not utter the

demonic phrase.
