       leaders suggested we prepare.


               We discussed altitude sickness



       and its effect on people.  Our team


       nurse suggested that we all take



       aspirin to thin our blood before we


       boarded the flight.  My roommate,



       Steve, and I didn't have any, so we


       slipped off to a small corner store.



       When we asked for a bottle of aspirin,


       the confused clerk said, “Aspirin no



       come in bottle.”  She then produced



       aspirin in small cellophane packages


       at one sol (about thirty-three cents) a


       piece.



               We took the appropriate dose,



       drank lots of water, and boarded the
