as I went. I attached them to the spigot
in the barn and turned it on.
I rushed out to the other end,
reaching it about the same time the
water started to flow. For about three
hours I sprayed the pile of snow, until
it had a beautiful silver glaze and was
soaked clear through. I then carefully
drained the hoses and put them away
while the minus 30 degree temperature
started to work its magic.
In the middle of the afternoon, we
could hear the rumble of the snow plow
coming down the road. I threw on my
coat and rushed outside to see if my
handiwork would hold. The truck was
going about 30 miles an hour, and
when it hit the wall of ice, it stopped
cold, with the rear end of the truck
