banged, bruised, or missing hair like


       they had the previous years.  But,


       instead, they were all smiles.



               “How did the pranking go?” I


       asked.


               “Perfect,” Lenny said, pointing at


       his uncle’s approaching pickup.  “See


       for yourself.”



               I looked but couldn’t see anything


       unusual about the pickup itself.  But


       as it came closer, I noticed there was


       a large pack of dogs chasing it down



       the road.  Dogs often chase vehicles,


       but this was far beyond reason.  There


       were around twenty of them, and they


       ignored all other cars, intent in their


       pursuit.  Lenny’s uncle pulled into the



       church parking lot and stopped.  The
