bottles. While Scott worked to make

some money for their move, Janalyn

worked hard, canning dozens of jars

of jam and fruit. By the time they

packed the truck to start their new life

in New York City, they had lots of

delicious homegrown food to take

with them.

When we asked them what they

wanted for Christmas, it was no

surprise that Janalyn said she wanted

a pressure canner of her own. We
