worked at another popular restaurant

and one said her brother worked at a

ranch store.

I was concerned that my little

daughter might say something about

her brother’s job, and sure enough,

before I could stop her, she jumped

into the conversation with her friends.

“Well, my brother is a . . .”

As she spoke, our whole family

braced for her to reveal my son’s

secret identity, because to her, his

secret identity was akin to that of a

superhero.

“. . . my brother is a cowboy,” she

said.
