As I started seeing lots of “Do

Not Enter” signs and “No

Trespassing” signs along the roads, I

began to wonder how I would feel if I

was someone from a long distance

away who wanted to come see the

eclipse and didn’t have much money

to spend. How welcome would I

feel? I also thought of the times we

had gone somewhere, and someone

graciously invited us to camp on their

property or shared what they had with

us. I decided it was time to pay it

forward.

I talked to my family, and we all
