remember that when we get all

done, we’ll get you a fun treat,” I

said.

My wife and I had to be in the

control room away from the x-rays,

and I was afraid Elliana would be

frightened when we stepped out.

But she stayed calm and held still

for the x-rays. After they were

taken, I lifted her into my arms

again, and we were forced to sit and

wait another half hour for the man

to come back to take Elliana twenty

feet to her room again.
